What is vinyl flooring?

Modern day vinyl flooring is composed of PVC chips that are formed into solid sheets that vary in thickness, with 1/8” being the most common.  Tiles are cut into shapes such as 12”x12” squares and 12”x24” rectangles.  These tiles are installed onto a leveled sub-floor using a vinyl adhesive.  Vinyl flooring is frequently chosen for areas that receive high-traffic use because of it low cost, durability and easy maintenance.
